It is a medical condition. Hyperhidrosis is caused by overactive sweat glands and has nothing to do with hygiene. It cannot be resolved through lifestyle changes alone and is recognised as a medically necessary condition to treat by most insurance providers.
Most insurance companies consider neuromodulator treatment for underarm hyperhidrosis medically necessary and cover the cost. We recommend checking with your provider prior to your appointment, and we are happy to help with any documentation needed.
