The ABCDE rule is a useful guide: Asymmetry, Border irregularity, Colour variation, Diameter larger than 6mm, and Evolution or change over time.
CO2 laser removal is precise and minimally invasive, which significantly reduces the risk of scarring. Some patients experience temporary redness or a small mark that fades over time.
The procedure is well tolerated by most patients. A local anaesthetic may be applied to the area beforehand to keep you comfortable throughout the treatment.
