What Is A Clinical Peel?

Clinical peels use a blend of active ingredients to remove damaged outer layers of skin, triggering the body's natural renewal process and revealing fresher, healthier skin beneath. Medical grade peels like the TCA Controlled Depth Blue Peel penetrate more deeply into the skin, delivering more significant and longer lasting improvements in tone, texture and clarity.

At Bella Sante MD, we use the TCA Controlled Depth Blue Peel, a professional in-office treatment that combines trichloroacetic acid (TCA) with a specialised blue base to slow penetration and allow our medical aesthetician to precisely control the depth of the peel. This means the treatment can be fully tailored to your skin type, concerns and goals regardless of your skin tone.

background

How Clinical Peels Work

The TCA Controlled Depth Blue Peel is applied in-office by a trained medical aesthetician. The number of coats applied is adjusted based on your skin's specific needs, giving full control over penetration depth and intensity. A mild sedative is provided 30 to 60 minutes before the procedure for your comfort, so please arrange transportation from the clinic on the day of your treatment.

* RESULTS: Visibly smoother, clearer and more even skin, with results continuing to improve as the skin heals

FAQs on Clinical Peels

bella sante

The TCA Controlled Depth Blue Peel gives our medical aesthetician precise control over the depth of penetration and number of coats applied, making it a highly customisable treatment that can be tailored exactly to your skin type and concerns.

Yes. The treatment can be safely used on all skin types. Your aesthetician will assess your skin during your consultation and tailor the application accordingly.

A bluish tint will remain on the skin immediately after the procedure. Over the following 5 to 7 days, the skin will peel and may appear red as it renews. This is a normal and expected part of the process.

This depends on your skin concerns and goals. Some patients achieve their desired results in a single session, while others benefit from a series of treatments spaced several weeks apart. We will recommend a personalized plan during your consultation.
